Gmail

does gmail still strip out ALL <style>'s, including @media-query's in them? I've been trying to find a workaround, but it seems nearly impossible to have gmail render out as a mobile email.

gmail doesn't support media queries as you seemed to have gathered.

However the good people at zurb have figured out a way to work around this.
