Good evening! When I enter a file by typing "$ less hello.txt" how do I exit and get back to my command line?

I keep opening files for the tutorial using "$less hello.txt" and then I get stuck and it just says (end) rather than putting me back in the command line. Thanks!

q does not work. I had to clear. Any idea why it works for some and not others?
