Grids are not lining up!

Hello all,

My grids are not lining up like in the tutorial version. I've checked other community posts, but I can't see the difference between others' codes and mine. Can someone please help?

This may not be what you asked, but could this have something to do with not using Monospaced fonts?

The default font on this page is not monospaced, so the characters only take up enough space to be seen. Here are four characters and they don't line up.
