Grunt and Gulp, what is the state of development?

Hello,

I hope someone could help me, but I was wondering. Are Gulp and Grunt still actively being developed or has something else taken over? Since I'm trying to learn the both at the moment.

Checking github it's been a couple of months since anything changed to Grunt On Grunt-next, the 1.0 alpha it's almost a year without changes.

Gulp has a couple of months of no changes as well...

Gruntjs.com doesn't have any new or blogposts since May 2014. So over a year ago.

Anyone can update me about this? Thanks.

I'm not sure if they are in active development, but they are both stable. I haven't heard of another workflow tool that will take their spot just yet so I think it is a good time to learn. I know that they are used in most current workflows so and I don't think they are going away anytime soon.

I think gulp is the more active of the two, at least their twitter is more active, so there might be something in the works. Couldn't hurt to contact them to find out.

Thank you for your answer Alex ! I sure think they are great options, and I've created my own yeoman generator with a gruntfile and it works like a charm. But I noticed in searching for answers most information was months old.

Especially since they talked about adding streaming in Grunt like Gulp has. But that was months ago and since we didn't have any news about it.

I definately should start to use twitter. :)
