having a problem with my workspace

In my workspace console is blank and when I want to type any thing it prevent me please help

If you are working on a ruby console application, make sure your file ends with .rb and if it's rails tutorial make sure the file ends with .erb. I slipped up and caught this mistake myself a couple weeks ago. Just a heads up. If that doesn't fix it, give us more info so we can know more how to help.
