Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Create a Function

Having some trouble with "create a function" in python basics..... cant seem to get it right

squaring.py
import math

def square(number):
   return math.ceil(number * number)

number = float(input("What is the number you want to square?     "))

total = square(number)

print("Each person owes $ {}".format(total))

You won't need to import anything for this challenge. You also won't need to input or print anything.

Just do only what the instructions ask for.
