Nothing it working for me, what is my problem

You're almost there. This "genres" element should have an internal associative array with the key of genre_id and the value of genre.

What you are doing is placing the value of genre into the "genres" element. You need to add a key of genre_id in as well.

Something like this

$item["genres"][] = $row["genre_id"] = $row["genre"];
