HTML How to Make a Website CSS: Cascading Style Sheets Style the Basic Elements

Having trouble with "Select the ID wrapper, set it to a max width of 940 pixels, and then center on page using margins"

No matter what i put in for this, it doesnt' work. I thought it should be:

wrapper {

max-width:  940px;
margin:  0  auto;
padding:  0.5%;

}

wrapper {

#wrapper {
max-width:  940px;
margin: 0 auto;
}

I think that your padding property is what is throwing you off. Try without it.

Hi Ethan. Thanks for responding. I figured out what it was. "padding: 0 5%"

wrapper {

max-width:  940px;
margin:  0  auto;
padding:  0  5%;

}
