so when i press check work, it tells me i need to add a space between the first name and last name in the return area, ive tried different ways, they havent work, how do i add a space between (firstName) and (lastName)

You're close. You're just missing the backslash used in String Interpolation when using variables.
return ("\(firstName) \(lastName)")
