The task 3 instructions say "Create a new rule that targets the span element inside .intro. Give the span element a bold font weight and an italic font style."

It looks like you added this code to an existing line:

{ span:bold italic}
  • for clarity, a new rule should probably be started on a fresh line
  • a rule needs a selector before the open brace
  • a selector for a nested element would name both the parent and the target, with a space between
  • "span" is not an attribute name
  • the attribute for the "bold" setting would be "font-weight"
  • the attribute for the "italic" setting would be "font-style"
