Help us test a new Treehouse feature!

Hey Everyone!

My name is Matt and I’m a Product Manager here at Treehouse. We've been working on some ways to provide more practice for our students, beyond our existing videos and code challenges, and we'd love to get your feedback.

I'm not sure I understand what's involved. Does this involve actually testing some software, or is the "feedback session" essentially a phone call?

Can you list requirements and expectations:

  • How long are the sessions?
  • Does one need camera and mic for video conferencing?

Hey Steven! During the feedback session, we'll screen share some design concepts and observe you navigating around the new designs. We'll also ask a number of questions to make sure we understand what you enjoyed and didn't enjoy about the concepts.

It really sounds like fun and I'd love to join in if I didn't have jury duty next week and no idea when I'll be free. :confused:
But it also sounds like we all may have something really cool to look forward to in the near future! This might be exactly what a number of students have been wishing for.

Hey Chris! Great questions. 1) The sessions are 30 mins long 2) At the very minimum, you'll need a mic or access to a phone to call in. We use a software called Zoom to screen share. Ideally, you have access to a webcam as well, but it's not required. 3) You'll want a Mac or PC that can run Zoom (https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362033-Getting-Started-on-PC-and-Mac)
