Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Conditional Value

Help with if, else

For this task, I do not think I understand the question. I was asked to code: Add an else to your if and set admitted to false. I keep receiving the error message that admitted is not false.

conditions.py
admitted = None
if age >= 13:
    admitted = "True"
else:
    admitted = "False"

admitted = None

if age >= 13: admitted = True else: admitted = False

I ran this script through the challenge and it passed ok. I cannot see a problem with yours.

Hi there! You're doing well, but you're not setting them to the boolean values True and False. Instead, you're setting them to the strings "True" and "False". Just remove your quotation marks, and the challenge passes! Happy coding! :sparkles:
