Here is my code but I cannot get it to Pass although I do get alert message saying “This is true” Why is this not workig

There is this challenge: “Add a Boolean value to the condition in this conditional statement. Use a boolean value that will result in the message "This is true" appearing in an alert box.” Here is my code but I cannot get it to “Pass” although I do get alert message saying “This is true” … Why is this not working?

script.js
var xMan = true;
if (xMan) {
    alert('This is true');
} else {
    alert('This is false');
}
index.html
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>
<body>
<script src="script.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

While your code is fine outside the challenge, it is being picky about making us type the boolean value true. It won't even accept anything truthy, like 1.

if (true) {
    alert('This is true');
} else {
    alert('This is false');
