'hey guys i'm really having problems with string interpolation. here is my code i have no idea what i.m doing wrong .

for item in 1...14{ println("(number)times 7 is(number*7)" }

Hi there,

You need a backslash prior to each opening bracket.

for item in 1...14{
 println("\(number) times 7 is \(number*7)" 
}

That should work for you.
