i tried it on playgrounds an error comes stating cannot used red as an instance variable.

A few errors here.
1) The description needs to be added before the initializer. So let description = String 2) Now you need to call on the initializer and format this a little differently than you have: self.description = ("red: (self.red), green: (self.green), blue: (self.blue), alpha: (self.alpha)")
