Home Page

I have activated a theme called Melos. Working through how different themes differ. I have tried to alter the home page. However, the home page is not in the pages section. I was wondering how do I alter the home page on this theme?

I think you should start the WordPress theme development track for that. There Zac will go over how to create your own child theme. and then alter the homepage.

Hey Mark,

WordPress Themes can differ greatly. WordPress is working to get all themes to conform to a certain standard when it comes to theme options etc. For now though, there are a few places you can check.

1) Go to where you downloaded the theme, there should be a "Documentation" tab or menu item. The Documentation is like the "guide" for that specific theme. Documentation is your friend.

2) Try Apperance > Theme Options

3) Try Apperance > Customizer

4) Check if a plugin was created (in your Admin Dashboard) called "Home Page".

5) Try log into the site, go to the actual Home Page and click "Edit Page" in the top admin bar.

Let me know if this helps, Trav
