Homestead command not found issue

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing some weird issues with homestead. When I run the homestead command, I get a "command not found" response. As I understand the problem is in the path, because '~/.composer/vendor/bin/homestead' works just fine.

When I try to adjust the path in the .bash_profile file by adding a line: export PATH="~/.composer/vendor/bin/homestead"

everything stops working, even the basic commands such as 'ls' or 'cd'.

What am I doing wrong? There must be a way not to write the whole path to homestead every time, and still keep everything else working.

Be sure to append the $PATH variable either to the end or beginning of the export string.... example export $PATH:~/.composer/vendor/bin

Hi Derrick

I guess I'm just doing something completely wrong as it doesn't work. I can only use homestead command with full path. Can you explain what exactly are you doing to make it work?

apparently I just forgot to reboot terminal after saving. My apologies, everything works:)
