Hosting provider recommendations for high traffic sites?

I was wondering if you had specific recommendations for web hosts that would be able to handle traffic to a relatively high traffic blog. If a site maxes out at around 1000 visits/day, what would be a good web hosting provider at a reasonable price? Are there any "entry-level" web hosting plans that would be able to handle this amount of traffic?

For scaling with high traffic, you can get a great deal from the awesome folks at Scale Engine You can use their CDN to handle the load easy. For hosting, look into creating a Digital Ocean droplet.
