How can I fix an Authentication Failure timeout during the installation of the VM?

The errors appear during the command vagrant up.

==> default: Booting VM... ==> default: Waiting for machine to boot. This may take a few minutes... default: SSH address: 127.0.0.1:2222 default: SSH username: treehouse default: SSH auth method: private key default: Warning: Authentication failure. Retrying... default: Warning: Authentication failure. Retrying... default: Warning: Authentication failure. Retrying...

This continues until the command does a timeout. I am not sure how to fix this problem and would love any insight.
