Databases SQL Basics Getting Data from a Database Tools We'll be Using

How can I get a list of the tables in a database?

I have a database that I don't know which tables are there. Is there a way I can get a list of the tables running a query?

The method varies with the type of database. For SQLite you can enter ".tables" at the command prompt.

How can I do that in Big query?

Is that a database type? I'm not familiar with it — try consulting the documentation.

Ok, Thank you

show tables;

Is this the same as asking ' SELECT * FROM "all" ' ?
