5,053 PointsAn Intent to change Activities is an basically like creating any other Java object. It takes two parameters, a context for the activity, which in this case is just given by 'this', and the java class for the activity that you want to change over to. After that you just call a method called startActivity() and pass the intent as a parameter.
example: We want to switch over to an activity called userProfileActivity, which has a java class in your project files. You simply call the following
Intent intent = new Intent(this,userProflileActivity.class);
startActivity(intent);
//the activity should start after this code is called!
