How did my nav change colors?

I have it set to white, but it's not showing up. I don"t know if I changed something by accident.

/*nav link*/
nav a, nav a:visited {
  color: #fff;
}

/* selected nav link */
nav a .selected, nav a:hover {
  color: #32673f;
}
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li><a href= "index.html" class="selected">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href= "about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href= "contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>

I believe the issue is a space in "a_.selected"

/* selected nav link */
nav a .selected, nav a:hover {
  color: #32673f;
}

where is should be

/* selected nav link */
nav a.selected, nav a:hover {
  color: #32673f;
}
