iOS Swift Basics (retired) Collections What is a Dictionary?

how do i assign the value from the currencies dictionary that matches "UK" to the constant ukCurrencies?

trouble getting this question right even though i ran the code successfully in Xcode

dictionaries.swift
let currencies = ["US": "Dollar",
                "UK": "Pound",
                "JP": "Yen"]
 //currencies.removeValueOfKey("UK")
let ukCurrencies = currencies["UK"]

 //let ukCurrency = currencies.removeValueForKey("UK")

1 Answer

let currencies = ["US": "Dollar", "UK": "Pound", "JP": "Yen"]
let ukCurrency = currencies["UK"]

I think the challenge wants you to use the constant ukCurrency instead of ukCurrencies

thank you brian! that was really helpful sir!
