iOS Object-Oriented Swift 2.0 Complex Data Structures Adding Instance Methods

How do I call on the struct to perform the method if the function is defined locally?

I used this code in playground, thought it would suffice, but returned an error "Define getFullName() w/ in the bounds of the struct. :(

struct Person { let firstName: String let lastName: String } func getFullName(firstName: String, lastName: String)->String{ return(firstName+" "+lastName) }

getFullName("Joe", lastName: "Smith")

structs.swift
struct Person {
    let firstName: String
    let lastName: String

    func getFullName(firstName: String, lastName: String)->String{
    return(firstName+" "+lastName)
  }
}

The function doesn't need parameters as the Strings you're working with are available in this scope already. Take a look here:

struct Person {
    let firstName: String
    let lastName: String

    func getFullName()->String {
    return(firstName+" "+lastName)
  }
}
