JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Create a max() Function

How do I generate two random numbers to pass through a function?

If I was to use the random number generator to output two random numbers as number1 and number 2 parameters, what is the code to perform this task? Thanks.

script.js
function max (number1, number2) {
  if (number1 > number2) {
    return number1;
  } else {
    return number2;
  }
}

alert( Math.random( , ));

This challenge does not require the use of the random function. It was only shown in an example of how to use the alert function.

For this challenge, you only need to pass any two numbers (you can just pick your own).

This challenge wants you to use your newly created function and alert the user with the result. These numbers can be anything. I decided to go with 1 and 5 in my solution you can pick whichever and should be able to move on.

Solution:

function max (number1, number2) {
  if (number1 > number2) {
    return number1;
  } else {
    return number2;
  }
}

alert(max(1, 5));
