How do I get NewsFragment instance?

I need to pass Fragment instance as second param to add function. How do I get an instance of NewsFragment

public class NewsFragment extends Fragment {
    public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container, Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        View view = inflater.inflate(R.layout.fragment_news, container, false);
        return view;
public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {
    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {

        FragmentManager fm = getFragmentManager();
        FragmentTransaction fTransaction = fm.beginTransaction();
        fTransaction.add(R.id.placeholder, NewsFragment);

NewsFragment fragment = new NewsFragment(); FragmentManager fragmentManager = getFragmentManager(); FragmentTransaction fragmentTransaction = FragmentManager.beginTransaction(); fragmentTransaction.add(R.id.placeholder, fragment); fragmentTransaction.commit();

Hope this helps. ;)
