How do I get to version 3 and not 2 of Python in the Python Shell when using Terminal for Mac?

I have version 3 installed, when when I try to use the Python Shell I automatically get connected to version 2. What command will connect me to version 3 instead? This is needed to follow along the videos which use version 3.
