How do I resolve an "Unresolved Identifier"?

I am attempting to use the if-let statement to assign the value of a function named "search" to a constant named "result". The problem I'm facing is when I attempt to assign the function to a constant I am receiving error messages stating that I have an unresolved identifier. Furthermore, when I attempt to call upon the function and use the constant "result" I receive the same message.

search.swift
func search(#name: String) -> String? {
    let names = ["Doc","Grumpy","Happy","Sleepy","Bashful","Sneezy","Dopey"]
    for n in names {
        if n == name {
            return n
        }
    }
    return nil
}
let n = result
if result = search("Doc") {
  println("Found")
}
