How do I successfully use if, in, and else to create True/False function?

My task is to set store_open to be True, if time is in store_hours. If time ISN'T in store_hours, then set store_open to False.

Below is what I have written, but it is not correct:

store_open = None
store_hours = [9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18]
time = 9
if time in store_hours:
    store_open = True
else:
    store_open = False

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong here?

Hello Alexandre.

Please do not hard code the variable time, the code challenges normally create the testing variables.

Just get rid of the time variable and your code will be good.
