2,334 PointsHow do we retrieve the index to the sum ?
I understood the question but just don't know how to do it...Tried the answers that we can see in the chat room but nothing seems to work.
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0
while counter < numbers.count {
print(numbers[counter])
counter++
}

Treehouse TeacherSum doesn't have an index. It's not an array or list. It's the variable that keeps the sum (or running total) of all the numbers we're adding together. Also the challenge doesn't need you to print anything. It just wants you to take sum (which starts at 0) then add 2 to it ... then 8... then 1... etc. Here's a look at my code. Hope it clarifies things!
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0
// Enter your code below
while counter < numbers.count {
sum += numbers[counter]
counter++
}
