Python

How do you import pyperclip package module on Windows 10?

I'm currently trying to install pyperclip to use in Python 3.6.1 on Windows 10.

When I run command line and type "pip install pyperclip" , it successfully installed the package. I verified this by entering "pip install pyperclip" which prompted requirement already satisfied, however when I am in Python shell, an enter "import pyperclip" it returns traceback module not found error.

Any insights on this would be great, I'll be troubleshooting in the meantime. Cheers!

There is some ideas on stack about it. Do you have more than one version of python. Installed. Also check where the install is.

Please let us know when you find the answer.

Took me 48hours to do my first pip install. This was prior to joining treehouse. I felt like such a wally.

Hi Keith, appreciate the response. I'll be searching on stack, thanks!

When I enter "pip install pyperclip" I'm currently receiving the message below and I can't quite understand it.

You are using pip version7.0.3+xy.11, however version 9.0.1 is available. You should consider upgrading via the 'python -m pip install --upgradepip' command. Requirement already satisfied(use -- upgrade to upgrade): pyperclip in c\python27\lib\site-packages
