How do you know what numbers there are for certain colors... for example, green. How do you know what number that is?

The color gray is #777. Is there any pattern, or any rules for the numbers code for colors?

Katrine Guirguis , Unfortunately, you won't just know what the colors are by heart unless you're using these extremely frequently. There are patterns to how the color hex is derived but I wouldn't spend time learning them. You can use any color picker tools, like this one from W3.
