It looks like the challenge didn't notice some errors made in previous tasks. In particular, the footer should be placed after the header and not inside it.

The header added in task 1 should go around "the ul, h1 and p elements at the top of the page", which were lines 8-14 in the original code. So the header element encloses those lines but no others.

Once you get that fixed, then the task 3 instructions will make more sense.
