how do you return the value to the variable yearToday?

im upto the 3rd challenge. i get how to call the function. i thought i knew how to return the value to a new var but its saying task 1 no longer works.

Hello John, just something I noticed when doing the same challenge, although the code was right for the javascript. Mine wasn't running, I had to change the html file content="text/html" to content="text/javascript" only then I was successful.
