how does the method .all knows what db table it needs?

Hi, The method .all takes the data from a db called posts, but it was preformed on a class called "post". is it possible that .all checks the variable name rather then the class? what am I missing here? Thank you!

By default, Rails looks at the class name and converts it to a table name. You can actually override the name of the table it looks in, if you want. You can learn more in this blog post:
