how explore css colors?

What's here is good and clear. What I'm still needing more info and clarity about by this point in the videos is the codes for colors. You're encouraging us to explore different colors, but I see no systematic way to do that. The alphanumeric codes for the colors seem arbitrary. I get that there is some logic to them--fff is white, 000 is black--and red, green, and blue have some separate 2-digit ranges...but the codes used for the shades of green are sometimes numbers, sometimes alphanumeric, and playing around with changing them isn't telling me much about what's going on with such coding.

In short, how best to explore css codes for colors?

You don't have to come up with the codes for the colors. The best thing to do is use a color code generator, such as this: W3Schools colorpicker. There are plenty other generators out there, just do a google search.

Exploring colours can seem like a never ending quest sometimes, I use Color Scheme Designer 3 when I want help choosing or experiment with them.

Hi Micheal,

I assume you have not heard of Adobe Kuler(http://https://color.adobe.com/). This is an project undertaken by adobe to give us access to some of the most visually enticing user created colour combinations.

Here you can explore user submitted colour palettes which in my opinion are beautiful to say the least.
