Development Tools Console Foundations Getting Started with the Console Running Commands

How long does it generally take to load the console?

So I've been trying to launch the console since this morning. It keeps getting stuck on the 'we are setting up your computer' stage. Have let it run for a few times up to 30 mins. Have tried switching browsers, clearing cache, making new rules for port 3388 in my firewall, waiting a few hours and trying again, launching it over and over after short intervals.

At this point I'm pretty sure its a problem occuring somewhere between me and the server, but i was wondering how long it generally takes to launch it when it is actually working.

I'm gonna give it till tommorow before I try contacting support.

I gave up. Using git bash instead while I burn a copy of openSUSE to load on my alt box. Tired of having issues with the treehouse site, gonna do all my dev local from here on out. Plus I need to get familiar with POSIX operating systems anyway.

On a whim I tried loading it up again and it finally worked this time. Loaded in about 20 seconds. Well played console...well played.

Nope, can't get it to run. That's why I was wondering.

Cool, thanks.
