How many hours per week should I log of learning to be ready for free lance front-end web development in year?

I'd like to take on free-lance projects independently until I land a decent job as a web developer. I wanted to start taking on projects in one year. I realize everyone is different. But generally speaking. How many hours per week should I log to meet that goal?
