How to add an item to the last place of a list?

I am doing a quiz where they ask me how to add an item "1" to the last place o a list. When I put my_list.extend(1) it tells me that's wrong.

Hi Wilfredo,

The answer the quiz is looking for is append. Taken from the Python documentation (https://docs.python.org/2/tutorial/datastructures.html):

"list.append(x) Add an item to the end of the list; equivalent to a[len(a):] = [x]."

Hope this helps!
