How to create a background wheel instead of color wheel?

Hi I was watching "Build a Simple Android App with Java" by Ben Deitch I was interested in doing the same thing he did with the color wheel but with background images,, so clicking on the button changes the texts(facts) randomly, but also changes the background image randomly. I spent 7 hours and got nowhere and deleted everything to start over, would appreciate anyones help. Thank you
