HTML Video - where to begin?

So, HTML video, where do you begin when it comes to the actual hosting of the video? I want to use the video as a page background on a WordPress site I am developing, but like in most cases self-hosting the video is not a great option. Should I be looking at YouTube or Vimeo as a place to host the video?

Looking for some insight into the initial approach.

Hi, you guessed right, self hosting the video isn't a good choice. Youtube, Vimeo, Wistia are great options. Ultimately, it boils down to convenience, preference and how much you are willing to pay or not pay.
