758 PointsI am a designer who wants to learn how to develop my own websites. What is the best starting place?
AKA, I want to become a unicorn. I have a very basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and javascript. My goal is to be able to design and also develop custom websites. What is the best starting point for me, and for any designers out there who have transitioned into website development, what are your best tips?

In my opinion, your best starting point here on Treehouse would be the Web Design Track.

That's exactly what I am planning to do too! I'm a designer who's worked in print and prepress for a long time and is now looking to get into web design and front end dev. I've built a couple of sites with basic HTML, CSS and some jQuery plugin implementation and really enjoy it so far and currently to the Web Design Track.
How are u traveling so far?
