I am not able to type on the work space in the challenge tasks, where I am supposed to add elements to the work space.

What do I do to fix this problem?

I ran into this problem the other day, and I fixed it by resizing my browser to a larger size. If resizing your browser to different shapes doesn't fix it for you, I'd recommend restarting your browser and coming back to the problem, see if that fixes it.
