JavaScript JavaScript and the DOM (Retiring) Making Changes to the DOM Modifying Elements

I am not sure how to proceed. I seem to be using the correct selector and ID name. I am totally stumped!

Any help you can provide would be awesome, I am just not sure what I am missing here in what should a simple enough task!

Hi Hadley, You are missing .value from the end of your inputValue variable like so...

var inputValue = document.getElementById("linkName").value;
