I am not sure why the paragraphs in my list are showing gray...

This is my mark-up. I feel really silly, and maybe it is too late to be studying, but I have no idea why my text is showing up gray rather than green in my listed paragraphs... I thought that (#gallery li: #color: #bdc3c7;) would change it to green... ? what am I missing here?

I just realized that there are snapshots... here it is, rather than digging through my soup of css https://w.trhou.se/4g8qkt3jtc

To target the text I think you need this code

gallery li a p {

margin: 0; padding: 5%; font-size: .75em; color: #bdc3c7;
