Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Try and Except

I am stuck can't solve

Bummer! TypeError: catching classes that do not inherit from BaseException is not allowed when i check my thhis error popped out !!!

    try:

        print(apple + samsung)

I would try this:

Code Snippet Delete By Treehouse Community Moderator. "Giving" away answers without explanations as to why it is the correct answer and/or what was done incorrectly is strongly frowned upon in the Community.

You are very close!

  • ValueError is used without the parens. With the parens it is a call to create a instant of the class ValueError, which, in this context, it fails the type expected in the except statement.
  • The final else should use a return instead a print.
