I am trying to get my "println" tag to work with connecting the value of my language constant and can't

I have tried doing it two ways this way println("I really love \ (language)") and the way it is now I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

println.swift
let language = "Learning Swift"
println("I really love " + language)

The code I type is to the question below I fixed a space in the code from before but now it's still not working. Any ideas?

Given the constant named language, write a println statement which will print the following string: "Learning Swift". (Remember to use the language constant within the string you pass to your println statement).

println.swift let language = "Learning Swift" println("I really love (language)")

Hi Daniel!

I may be interpreting this wrong but I think that you are just being asked to print out the constant which you have created called 'language' on it's own without the "I really love " string before it.

Give that a go and let me know how it works out for you!

Hi Daniel!

The way you tried at first, using interpolation, was correct apart from one small mistake! Remove the space between the '\' and the parentheses. Once you have done this your code should look something like this:

println("I really love \(language)")

Thanks Luke! I knew it was something small.

No problem! Good luck with your programming.
