I am trying to target a paragraph within a class but am unable to target it. I have tried all the combinations I know of

Working in the style.css file the question was to target the <p> of the class="main-content" I set the selector to .main-content {font-weight: bold;} and nothing happened. I can't figure out how to target the <p> though.

/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */
header span {
    font-size: 26px;

.main-content {
    font-weight: bold;
<!DOCTYPE html>
    <title>Lake Tahoe</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="page.css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
      <span>Journey through the Sierra Nevada Mountains</span>
      <h1>Lake Tahoe, California</h1>
      Lake Tahoe is one of the most <span>breathtaking attractions</span> located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
    <a href="#">Find out more</a>
    <div class="main-content">
      <h2>Check out all the Wildlife</h2>
        As spawning season approaches, the fish acquire a humpback and protuberant jaw. After spawning, they die and their carcasses provide a feast for gatherings of mink, bears, and Bald eagles.

main-content is the parent class of the paragraph you want to target. You need to do something like:

.main-content p {
    font-weight: bold;

Hope that helps!

I definitely tried that one first and I got a “bummer” haha, then I checked the preview and saw that the font was bold, so I was confused haha. Cheers!
