Hi Olivia,

The opening header tag is missing, I can see the closing tag you used just not the opening header. Hope this helps!

Olivia, Echoing Noah's statement to you, yes, you appear to be missing the opening tag for the <header> tag. I've included corrected code below.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
    <title>My Portfolio</title>
  </head>
  <body>
   <header>
    <ul>
      <li><a href="#">About</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Work</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Contact</a></li>
    </ul>
    <h1>My Web Design &amp; Development Portfolio!</h1>
     <p>A site featuring my latest work.</p>
    </header>

  <ul>
    <li><a href="#">About</a></li>
    <li><a href="#">Work</a></li>
    <li><a href="#">Contact</a></li>
  </ul>
  <h1>My web design &amp; Development portfolio</h1>
