i can't get my background to show as orange

<body style="background-colour: orange;">

When I refresh my background is still white - what am I doing wrong?

He Miriam, try: background-color: orange (American spelling).

just a typo mistake we find ourselves into all the time. reserved words have to be used exactly as they were reserved so in this case background-colour is different to the reserved word which is background-color so that's the reason why it doesn't work.

change "background-colour" to "background" or "background-color"

Hi Miriam

You spelled the background-color property as background-colour so correct it than it will work

Thank you everyone - what can I say - I'm Canadian, eh?
